News!

Summer training is in full swing and the dog are doing great!

Bruce ran the West Allis test in late July and three dogs under the age of two passed the Master test.  What a great accomplishment!  Way to go!!

Master Nationals are in Roseburg, Oregon this fall and the cutoff for qualifying is July 31st.  Bruce and his crew are working to qualify client dogs in advance of this deadline and make sure the dogs are rock solid in their skills before the big event!

Jazz, owned by Brian Campbell, with two 1st Place ribbons!Bruce Halverson and Crosswind Retrievers gave my dogs and me the knowledge and skill set to compete and be successful in the retriever game. Bruce’s kennels are clean and comfortable and no one works harder or smarter than Bruce.  No one!

FC-AFC Waterdogs Shock and Awe with John Stracka. 2010 National Amateur Finalist.Bruce has started and maintained several dogs for us in the past ten years.  They have always been treated and trained properly.  We have been pleased to support Crosswind's development and growth over the years in both Wisconsin and Georgia.  Bruce has taken our dogs to five Master Nationals and the dogs he started have become FC-AFC titled and qualified for nine National Championships, either Open or Amateur.

A special thanks to Bruce and his support team.  Bruce did a wonderful job getting a high powered dog such as ours to complete his Seniors and then his Masters.  To top it off  Bentley qualified for the Nationals.   The thorough, fair, consistent training program Bruce applied is what made it all happen.  We always felt comfortable entrusting our dog to Bruce's care as he runs a clean, organized facility.  We were impressed that Bruce took the time to understand our dog's traits and character and by the depth of Bruce's knowledge.  All of these things along with Bruce's fair business practices are what led us all to succeed.  A HEARTY THANKS TO BRUCE! We look forward to using Crosswinds exclusively in years to come.

Ron with "Auttie" and 1st place Qualifying ribbon.Bruce does a great job.  Auttie earned her Qualified All-Age title at age 2.5 thanks to Bruce's great training program.  Following that, she earned her first Master National plate!  It was a great year.    With more training, Bruce is now running her in the Open stake.  I could not have done any of this without Bruce.  He is a great trainer and takes super care of the dogs.  I am so pleased and anticipate using Bruce for years to come.  Bruce is the best!

I am so pleased with the care and training my dogs got at Crosswind Retrievers!  They not only got their Master Hunter titles and qualified for Master Nationals, but most important to me is they are both a joy to hunt pheasants over.  Thanks again for your dedication!

Mark Kolom and Loki with MH ribbon.Bruce has been everything and more that I could have asked for in a trainer.  Bruce's facilities, knowledge, experience, and results are top notch.  He took my dog from a Junior Hunter to  Master Hunter in less than a year, and then Bruce handled him to his Qualified All-Age title in August 2012.  Bruce is fair and consistent with the dogs and my dog, Loki, has always returned to me with the same personality and health as when I dropped him off.   Loki is always happy to see Bruce and I know it is because Bruce treats him fairly.  I have visited Bruce's kennel at various times of the day and it is always clean and the dogs always have fresh water.

I will be a lifetime client of Bruce's.  No need to look further, as Bruce has exceeded my expectations.
